4-2-1 Rules for Application
As a general rule, each person is allowed to give only one presentation, whether it is individual or joint. However, individual presenters may apply for joint presentations if they are not the oral presenters who are indicated by a circle in the program.
This does not apply to roundtable sessions (it is possible to apply for both a roundtable session and a research presentation).
For both “A: General Research Presentations” and “B: Thematic Research Presentations”, please select up to three preferences. Depending on the theme of your presentation and the number of applications received, you may be asked to switch between the two categories.
The executive committee will decide presentation times. Please note that it is not possible to request a specific time slot for your presentation.
4-2-2 Eligibility
Only those who are either (1) members of the Society who have already paid their dues for the 2026 fiscal year by May 6, or (2) who have completed the membership application process for the 2026 fiscal year by May 1 and have paid their dues in advance, will be eligible to present their research.
4-2-3 Presentation time
Individual research presentation: 25 minutes for the presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A
Joint research presentation: 50 minutes for the presentation + 10 minutes for Q&A
*The presentation time for a single presenter in a joint project is the same as for an individual presentation.
4-2-4 Submission of Presentation Abstracts
Those who have applied for a presentation are requested to submit (upload) a two-page PDF abstract of their presentation following the “Instructions for Preparation of Presentation Manuscripts” posted on the conference website via the online registration system. Please note that any pages beyond the second page will not be published if the abstract exceeds the page limit. The submission period is from Thursday, July 2 to Thursday, July 16. Please adhere to the deadline.
The proceedings will be made publicly available on J-STAGE, the research information database of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
